An employee was helping an operator close a barbed wire gap. The gap was stretched across some digging mats (placed that morning) on a temporary crossing that was used to contain cattle. While attempting to close the gap, he walked backwards on the construction mats and stepped in a hole between them. He then fell backwards, landing on his right hip. The mats were uneven and were elevated right where he landed. He was hospitalized with a broken right hip/femur, requiring surgery. | |||||

An employee exited the building to go to the back patio and the door locked behind him. To re-enter the building, he attempted to climb a security fence. The employee became caught up in the fence's barbed wire and fell to the ground, landing on his back and right side. He was hospitalized with three broken ribs, a bruised lung, and lacerations and scratches. | |||||

While a backhoe was pulling dirt into a hole, it caught the wire on a nearby barbed wired fence. The backhoe pulled the wire out, causing it to strike and break the leg of a nearby employee. |
